More than 1000 young people gathered at the Columbia Yacht Club, near Chicago's Navy Pier, July 18 and 19 for the spectacular 2003 live event featuring popular Catholic musicians Crispin. The deck of the Abegweit played host to a party unlike any other in its history: Eucharistic adoration and benediction, live questions-and-answers with Fr Anthony Bannon, vocation testimonies from priests and consecrated lay people, with long lines for the spiritual direction and sacrament of confession available with Legionary priests.

Fr Emilio Diaz-Torre, LC, gave benediction at midnight on Friday on the deck of the boat to over 200 visitors... and all of Chicago! 

Just like at the 2002 live event at World Youth Day in Toronto, the adoration chapel was the center of activities. It was nearly always full to capacity.
